Codefest was birthed in Nigeria and incubated under Ideapreneur Network as an open innovation management entity. We filed for all our licenses, trademarks etc.
We trained 2,000+ on coding from different universities through our FREE bootcamps. We hosted national coding competitions (Hackathon) across 5 Geopolitical Zones of Nigeria at the campus including Lagos and Abuja. We started a campaign of Digital Democracy given government officers opportunity to understand digital Literacy. We hosted World Telecommunications Day. We incubated over 20 software products. We setup the first IT hub in computer village, Ikeja. We got recognised by Nigeria Computer Society and other ICT development bodies. We started making our own local content and curriculum for training. We started campus placement - helping companies recruit especially fresh graduates
CodeFest Media team was fully functional - Branding, Video, Jingle, Art, Social Media, Online, Content Writing, Etc. We setup our RnD Team. Our objectives changed from Higher Institutions to School focus (Catch them young). S.T.E.M. Education was integrated and we became one of the active pioneers and promoters. Two strategic international STEM Institutions partnerships made all the difference in helping us get into STEM fully. We were in the news for good reasons. CNN, BBC, Channels, AIT, NTA, TVC, Aljazeera, etc. They all captured the impact story of our Kid Ambassador. We launched our franchisee partnership business We started charging a token from our programs (Until 2019 we were using sponsorships to run the organisation). We launched our Internship Program. We focused more on developing STEM content and curriculum. We launched several business softwares ERP, CRM, Market place etc. We were recognised both locally and internationally for our signature coding bootcamps which thousands of kids have benefitted, including schools. CodeFest Kano was established as one of the 4 franchise piloted and Kano presently is the most thriving chapter in Nigeria.
Our strategic partnership with a global STEM Alliance was consummated that gave us access to other STEM organisations. We ventured into STEM kits and e-learning, hosting bootcamps and exhibitions online. Made massive Investment in building a Unified Online Learning Platform. We received acknowledgement from the Federal Ministry of Education. Engaging a few states to help integrate STEM EDUCATION. STEM Teachers Empowerment Project (STEP) INITIATIVE Nigeria was launched to help community awareness and penetration of STEM for all. Hosting the first ever STEM TEACHERS AWARD and GALA night in Kano state. Our products/programs bridge gaps and proffer STEM education as the new way and we are open to work with any Institution or company seeking to make impact or profit from the value in education. On the news today is STEM Nigeria Alliance. Focused on edification of the Educational sector and promoting local content in Nigeria.
